Wahoo! Go Meretz! I mean, Jewlicious! As the nomination period runs down it seems, despite our being Mormon and all, that we’ve been nominated in several categories at the Jewish & Israeli Blog Awards, organized by Israellycool. We’ve been nominated for 6 (!!) Jewish Blog awards, as follows:

We are so unworthy and trust that this will be reflected in the voting. And for the little anonymous turd who said we’re a Meretz blog, well, screw you, we owe fealty to no one and I sure as heck do NOT support Meretz. Being a Mormon and all. But whatever, nominations end on the 16th of Jan., and shortly thereafter I will be in Israel for a business trip or something. So vote away! There are some darn good blogs in contention, most of which are not run by Mormons.

  • What the hell, somebody accused us of being a Meretz blog?!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Do you think it’s somebody competing with us trying to curry favor with people on the right? 😆

  • ???”?? I always thought of us as a Shas blog – Jewlicious; The Sephardic Torah Guardians! Has a nice ring to it, no?

  • Mazel tov on all your nominations. I’ve been blogging for 3+ years and never received one nomination. I’m so unloved. *sniff*

  • I’d love to be supportive, but all your URL says is:

    Not Found
The requested URL /pbd/ was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
    Apache/1.3.33 Server at http://www.meltzner.net Port 80

But yes, thanks for the kind words. We’d give you all our nominations if we could, I mean I’m assuming that you’re at least NOT Mormon …

  • I really wasn’t asking for a nomination – I don’t deserve one. And thanks for the headsup on the URL. It’s fixed now.

  • You’re Mormon? Oh, geez, I’d no idea. Will you stop ringing my doorbell at all hours? Can’t you wait to baptize me posthumously like normal Mormons?

If I vote for you, will you go away and take your six underaged wives with you?

    Okay then.

  • Closest thing to a Meretz blog would of course be the website of Meretz USA – that is, http://www.meretzusa.org
Favorite section would be weekly news summaries.

  • Heh. Cute. By the way Arieh, this month’s cheque hasn’t arrived yet …
