To be in Cannes for the Film Festival is fabulous – see all of Hollywood, the big stars, the glitz and glamor, the paparazzi, and of course the egg challah. Will Woody Allen and Joseph Ceder, two members of the tribe whose films are getting all the buzz for this year’s festival show up too?

We don’t know. But, there will be many other industry people and there will be challah. Yes, challah (and other true delicacies) will be the main attraction at the annual Shabbat Dinner at Cannes organized by the Chai Center for a Shabbat Dinner, 7:30pm, Friday Evening, May 13th, (First Friday of the Festival) hosted by Rabbi Mendel Schwartz.
This dinner is no ordinary meal, it’s a French feast, a mixer, a desert party, and island of sanity amid the hustle of Cannes.

Spaces are limited for this gourmet feast at “OKAY BEACH”, 1 Boulevard Jean Hibert, only a 5 minute walk from Palais des Festivals. Please go to www.chaicenter.org/cannes.htm for your RSVP and have fun at Cannes!
