Occupy Sukkot with CMJ 2011’s Shemspeed Showcase

Shemspeed will be throwing one of the most exciting CMJ events of 2011! This event bridges and blends the worlds of electronic music, dancehall, and hip hop from artists around the globe. The line up includes a slew of world premieres, live performances by many diverse artists, and a front room with our favorite DJs!

Some of the world premiers are: “The Takeover” music video by Y-Love, Tj Di Hitmaker, Diwon, and Andy Milonakis; “Forgive and Forget” – the lead single off “Shalom Haters” by Israeli’s Shi 360; and “Sweatpants Song” music video by Kosha Dillz. The main stage will feature live performances by artists as diverse as Libyan MC, Khaled M, and Kyle Rapps (who will be premiering his new video with Talib Kweli), indie folk artist Moshe Hecht, the debut live performance of Hood Samaritan, as well as a special guest performance by dancehall champ, Tj Di Hitmaker! The evening will also feature a front room with our favorite DJs: Tes-Uno, DJ Teddy King, Geng Grizzly, DJ Mondee, DJ Lifeone, & Tron.
