Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have the desire, skills and creativity to work on exciting and demanding campaigns. Candidates must be goal-oriented with leadership skills, organizing experience, and a strong commitment to the Jewish people. Candidates need to be strategic, team players, able to recruit, train and motivate a wide range of people, and be able to tell a compelling story. Positions are part-time.

FESTIVAL PRODUCTION INTERNS

– Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of Summer Fest
– Assist with Marketing and Communications outreach/initiatives
– Prospect research
– Coordinate and execute emailings
– Assist with updating databases
– Administrative support to the Festival Director
– Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
– Full time student planning on returning to school in Fall 2012 ( Exceptions on a case by case basis)
– Enrolled in post secondary studies in fundraising, event planning or business management (Preferred)
– Experience in running events (work, academic or volunteer)
– Proven administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects, deadlines and priorities.
– Creative team player who displays initiative
– Computer literate – MS Word, Excel and Windows

INTERNSHIP DETAILS:
– Hours of the position will be 10:30am-5:30pm, Monday- Thursday
– This is an un paid position for beginning in May after exams or mid June on other system
– this is a Stipend position

DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR FOR JCONNECT/JEWLICIOUS

We are seeking to hire a creative and highly motivated person to lead our development efforts. This is an exciting opportunity for a up-and-coming star to play a key role in our organizational growth. This individual will have the opportunity to provide leadership in driving our development efforts forward, and building support among key constituencies, with a strong emphasis on widening the base of support, grants, and major gifts.

The Director of Development will work in close conjunction with the Executive Director and Board of Directors. Responsibilities include:

Design and implement a fundraising plan, goals, calendar and budget that incorporates a wide variety of fundraising vehicles (e.g.., major gifts, individual gifts at all levels, foundation gifts, online appeals, special events, sponsorships, recognition, mass appeals).

Monitor the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and offer creative solutions to new obstacles and unforeseen circumstances.

Manage key relationships with individuals. Research, identify, and cultivation plans for potential individual supporters.

Nurture partnerships with current and prospective funders through donor recognition programs and gift stewardship; cultivate long-term relationships to ensure continued funding and funder engagement, buy-in and involvement.

Write or edit all fundraising material and correspondence including reports, presentations, letters, and gift acknowledgments.

Oversee the growth and maintenance of tracking and reporting systems.

Work with the Executive Director to establish a strong working relationship with the Board of Directors and staff to support and enhance fundraising efforts.

Work in an integrated way with the program team and Board of Directors to identify, cultivate and steward donors from among our program participants and community networks, and to boost fundraising results from our experiential programs.

BOOKKEEPER
Bookkeepers track all cash flows, billing, and lines of credit that affect their companies. They must be detail-oriented and tenacious; they have to track down and rectify any discrepancies, however small, in the company accounts.
