In July, Jewlicious will have been in existence for nine years (!!!). That’s pretty crazy. In that time we have delivered over 6500 posts, generated over 83,000 comments – and in all that time, we have never received any funding for the blog nor have we ever asked you for money for ourselves. Well, now we have just launched our first online fund raiser. For every dollar you donate toward the Jewlicious Festival, a generous benefactor will double your donation up to $30.000 until August 16th.

Now I know that we give and give and give but still, I am uncomfortable asking. To that end we have a whole set of things we are giving in return for your kind donation. We’ll send you albums, pimp your Web site on Jewlicious (Google Page Rank 6 – that’s SEO consultant magic!), give away tweets and even let you be Jewlicious editor for a day! But the best prize by far is for the person or entity who donates $5000 or more. For that kind of money you can have dinner with Michelle or Jessica, our two newest bloggers. Donate $7500 and you can have dinner with both of them! We will fly them wherever you are and you can have the company of two of the smartest and most articulate women out there! If you are an organization, they can talk talk to your group about their areas of expertise from the perspective of a young Jew.

Jessica is an expert on counter terrorism and has an MA from University of Pittsburgh. She hails from Maryland and now lives in Jerusalem where she works as a consultant. She’s a great conversationalist, loves fine dining, exotic travel and defeating terrorists. Michelle is a California girl who now lives in Tel Aviv where she attends Tel Aviv University’s International MBA program. She likes to go out, mingle with powerful people, and make grown men cry. Neither likes long, moonlit walks on the beach. Both are capable, intelligent and fierce. Why would two bright, educated, cosmopolitan women leave the relative comfort of the diaspora in order to start new lives in Israel?

Pony up the cash and find out!

Or support us any way you can. All donations are appreciated and are tax deductible in the US. Share this with your friends on Facebook and twitter, leave us a testimonial etc. etc. We’ve gladly helped out a lot of you in the past. Now it’s time to stand up and be counted – Michelle and Jessica are waiting for you, and I am watching.

UPDATE! We address some of the criticism and add two men to the mix. One of them is me! Click here!.

  • Or donate $5 and become my Facebook friend! (Unless I find you despicable, but I’d be nice and claim technical difficulties.)

  • What if I wanted to spend $5000 on an evening with one of your male bloggers? Is anyone available? Just for dinner and conversation of course.

    • I don’t know that Muffti’s schedule would allow for rapid travel anywhere in the world. I know that our male bloggers are all witty, handsome and accomplished – any would provide great company! If there is any one you are interested in, let me know! As for me, I’m used to paying people for their company – I can’t imagine anyone shelling out all that money for my time. So…. yeah.

  • David painted as a misogynist? That is ridiculous. There isn’t a misogynist bone in his body. He marches with Lesbians during gay pride! Treating Michelle and Jessica like mindless bimbos however, that’s not exactly respecting their capacity for free will. They’re women so of course they are under the influence of a powerful man’s mind power! Spooky creepy critics.
