On Wednesday, July 1, The New York Times reported on a pea-filled version of guacamole recipe. The internet caught fire over this pea-infusion.

U.S. President Barack Obama tweeted that he was against peacamole.

And the leading 2016 GOP candidate for U.S. President, former Florida Governor and past healthcare investor, Jeb Bush, also tweeted that he was not a supporter of The Times’s green dip.

And that got me to a-thinking.

If a Bush and an Obama could unite over a dip, could Middle East strife be solved with a united enmity towards pea-filled hummus? I mean green peas, not chick peas and not fava beans.

I can visualize it.

h157Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sissi, and others can all tweet how they dislike pea-laden hummus; it will get them talking, and who knows what can result?
