Crazy Herzl fact – he thought mass conversion of the Jews to Christianity was the solution to anti semitism. Yep, seriously that Herzl. You know the one – big beard, serious face, father of modern Zionism and everything.

The idea was quickly dismissed and Herzl went onto transform an ancient longing into a modern political movement that resulted in the establishment of the State of Israel (although, spoiler, antisemitism is alive and kicking these days).
