  • Yitzhak Rabin’s daughter, Dalia Rabin-Pilosoff, specifically uninvited Shimon Peres to the big concert in the square for the first time. I remember her voicing some serious questions about the death of her father and the investigation that left a lot unanswered. Does she also think that Shimon was behind part of it?

  • Accroding to a poster who left here recently because he didn’t enjoy my political views, yes.

  • According to the Maariv article, they didn’t want to give it a “political flavor” so Peres and Barak didn’t speak.

  • T_M,
were you at the rally? It wasn’t a memeorial event, it was a political rally. Did you see how many signs were promoting ‘Yahad’, the new Meretz-Beilin party? How many religious people were invited to speak?

  • Josh, of course it had political overtones. The point of the article is that they wanted to minimize this and bring “real people” who aren’t politicians to speak at the rally.
