Arafat succeeded in one thing, and perhaps that is enough — he created the Palestinian nation against all enemies, Arab and non- Arab.

Heh. Even that. Fucking Arafat didn’t create the Palestinian nation. WE did. Had the Israelis relinquished control of the West Bank and Gaza shortly after 1967, just think for a second where Palestinian nationalism would be today.

And, arguably, if they got their way and Israel was destroyed tomorrow, Palestinian nationalism would end right there, its goal accomplished.
