Hopped Up Hillel SlutsWell, not yet, but that’s what will surely happen if the San Diego City Council votes today to approve plans for a new Hillel Center in La Jolla. The Center, to be built by the UC San Diego Hillel, will be a 12,000 square foot behemoth and will host all manner of raucous Hillel events, like Friday night services, wild Hanukah parties, loud karaoke nights, weird Friday afternoon meditation sessions and of course, the infamous Wednsday bagel brunches. You don’t know the true face of horror until you’ve seen a UCSB Hillel member, jacked up on poppy seed bagels, wreaking havoc all over the friggin place.

The city council meeting will be today at 6:00 pm at the Sherwood Auditorium in downtown La Jolla (700 Prospect – in the Museum of Contemporary Art). Join concerned residents and say no to the Hillel Center in La Jolla. Say no the heartbreak of bagel abuse and say yes to more parking spots for resident SUVs. Think of the children! Won’t somebody please think of the children???

  • Looking at this picture and thinking about the women in uniform, I can’t help but hope to see these two fine women in green.

  • I met CK today on Agron Street. He had a Jewlicious hat on so I said hi. He told me to post something here, I guess it’s because he’s running a campaign to convince everyone that he a real person. Apparently, he met my friend Sandra through JDate and then designed her web site. And I knew him through this blog. It’s a real fucking Internety world out there. MAYBE I’ll write about this on WordPress, send a trackback, digg and delicious it, and then we can all have a circle jerk over video conferencing, HOORAY

    Yakov.

  • One sec…I’m a UCSB Hillel member, sort of. I’m an alumnus but still go there for the free food and lack of hot chicks. As a member, I can attest that it’s not the poppy seed bagels that make us high. When you have been there, fool?

Does Yakov C (that’s a great MC name, by the by) spit the truth? Why is Jewlicious everywhere? You guys don’t do bagel brunches..

  • Daniel – there’s 8 of us, 4 live in Israel and 4 in the US. However, there are three Canadian citizens. How aboot that?

  • CK – It’s great that you’ve created a forum where Canadians and non-Canadians can come together and discuss Jewish issues. I, for one, really enjoy the fruits of your collective labours.
