The forehead-Tefillin are also termed “our glory” (Gemara Berachot 11a) — they are the crown.

Chabad credits the Rebbe’s launching of the tefilin mitzvah campaign as leading to Israel’s salvation in the Six-Day War.
Nowadays, I daven with my Abba’s tefilin, which he had during his service as a tank commander in the Southern Command during the Six-Day War.
