After seeing a website that claimed to be the “World’s most popular Jewish website†I figured I better do some research and see. Why do I care? I guess I secretly hoped that we were number one. Right. Actually I feel that truth in advertising is very important, especially for Jews.
Then I realized I was much more interested in what was the best ranking “Jewish†website. The top site in “Judaism” was Jpost.com, in “Jewish” it is Jewishvirtuallibrary.com. Some other interesting news was that thanks in part to Mobius, Jewwatch.com has been knocked into 5th place in the “Jew” catagory, with wikipedia.com coming in first. In addition, the most popular Jewish dating sites by Alexa ranking are Jdate, Frumster and Jmatch. (I took out a strange site called jewishe-match.net which kept redirecting me to jewishmingle.com.) Ranking often has a lot to do with whether or not whoever running the site has deployed effective SEO. Using a service like this Macclesfield SEO company can be great for boosting a site up Google’s search result rankings.

Anyone can have a Judiasm. Their frequency and strength depend on who is administering them. Some people never get one and others have several a night.

Ooh, an idea- let’s swap the best of the Religious ‘net, so that non-Muslim folk will know that the authors of islamway.com and al-minbar.com don’t represent all or most Muslims, and so on for all religions.

Someone hacked my sister-in-law’s website gallery of family photos last week with islamway.com links so I’d be leery of trusting their ranking.
If we look just at our referrers, at this hour Google and Yahoo are sending us a visitor once every 10 to 20 seconds from a variety of searches.
edit: it’s a bit slower at other times in the day, but still a fairly consistent stream of visitors with the most fascinating search requests.
