As-Sharq al-Awsat noted this past week, a historic undertaking — the first official translation of the Qur’an into Hebrew was underway and, according to officials, will take “over a year”:

The translation of the Holy Quran into Hebrew will take over one full year, according to Dr. Mohammed bin Salim al Awfi, the secretary general of the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran, the Saudi Arabian body authorized to issue and publish translations of the Holy Quran into various languages.

A year has already passed since the complex announced undertaking the translation of the meanings of the Holy Quran into Hebrew, while other translations into Arabic and Hebrew have been published outside of Saudi Arabia, however containing several flaws.

The first authorized Hebrew translation of the Qur’an, this edition will avoid use of “the term Israelite and narrations that cannot be confirmed”, and will be done in accordance with Shari’a as well as avoid Sunni-Shi’a denominational conflicts.

With respect to the translation team, al Awfi pointed out that translation requires revision and alteration by at least two proofreaders. Proofreaders are required to have sound beliefs, good knowledge of Shariaa, an excellent standard of the Arabic language as well as fluency in the target language.

I can’t help but wonder what sparked this b’davka now. (Will Steimatzky’s be releasing this on Shabbat, too?) Is there a new push to encourage Israelis to become Muslim? Are there Hebrew-speaking Israeli Muslims who, unable to read the Qur’an’s literary Arabic, need a translation into Hebrew?

While this is the first Saudi-authorized Hebrew translation of the Qur’an, other Hebrew translations of Islam’s holy text have been extant for quite some time. However, as al-Awfi explains:

Asked about the spread of various versions of Hebrew translations of the Quran, al Awfi stated that there are many that contain distorted or unreliable translations of the meanings of the Holy Quran that were prepared by prejudice, anti-Islamic, or incompetent individuals. “Such translations are not limited to one particular language. The distortion of the meanings of the Holy Quran began many years ago. The first such distortion took place under the auspices of Peter the Venerable in 1143. Since then, imprecise translations by orientalists have continued [to be published] until now,” he added, pointing out that such ongoing distortions have resulted from ignorance of, hostility towards, and fear of Islam.

Jews are no strangers to blatantly bigoted quasi-translations and hatred-driven distortions of their holy texts. The fact that an Islamophobic translator or proofreader with ulterior motives jumped on the wagon to “expose Islam” to Hebrew speakers doesn’t surprise me.

The year-long timeframe was given as a minimum, not as a maximum, and al-Awfi reiterated that translating the Qur’an into any language is an arduous and painstaking process.

Perhaps this could lead to an increase in Jewish-Muslim unity, and a decrease in prejudice, something no correct-thinking person could oppose. Still — I can’t help wondering about the reasoning behind such a decision, or how it will be received in Israel.

And in light of the fact that Saudi Arabia is still under a trade boycott with Israel, this commissioning by an official Saudi agency of the translation of Islam’s holy text into Israel’s official language — the official language of no other country on the planet — is something that raises my eyebrows.

  • I have to say, I think this is a good thing! I spent a summer reading the Koran in English. I learned a few things: similarities of Islam to Judaism, what a fucking mass of idiots Christians are (I already knew this), and why when terrorists and their ilk speak why they structure sentences and imagery as they do: “The mouth of the lion of G-d will consume you” and so on.

    So if a few Jews read this and it makes them a bit more respectful of their “cousins” that is all the better.

    But I Imagine there are the fervently orthodox (I love this term) who would rather die for their trailer in the wilderness than understand their neighbor (unless he is the same brand of Jew), so it will be lost on those that need it the most.

  • Is one aware of an academic/scholarly english translation of the quran? I prefer to have something to compare against translations done by religious apologists.

  • The only fuckin idiots are (most) Muslims who hate and kill non-Muslims and naive pussies like you who don’t know who your real enemies are.
    Jews have more in common than Christians than Muslims. Have you read the Old Testament, Bible or Torah? Obviously not.
    You’re a bigot that hates Christians and Jewish women. You need help dude.

  • Uh… Let’s use low numbers:
    -World Muslim Population: 1.2 billion
    -Most Muslims who both hate and kill non-Muslims: 600 million and 1
    -Minimum number of non-Muslims killed by Muslims according to Elena: 600 million and 1

    Wow. That’s a lot of dead non-Muslims killed by Muslims. That’s like the entire population of the US and Japan combined. Frankly Elena, given this I’d rather be friends with these guys than enemies.

    But thanks for the enlightening comment Elena. I learned something new today!

    Nathan: Islamophobia is not exactly the unique domain of those you call “the fervently orthodox.” And why do they need it more than anyone else? Granted, outside of Israeli citizens, very few Jews without a good Jewish day school education would be able to read a Hebrew translation of “See Dick Run” – let alone a translation of the Koran. Those would be the uh… “fervently secular” Jews.

    But whatever. I doubt the official Hebrew Koran is going to have much effect on anyone. Y-Love’s post highlights the fact that this is a very curious development indeed.

  • “Perhaps this could lead to an increase in Jewish-Muslim unity, and a decrease in prejudice.”

    Oh, yes. Absolutely! I’m banking on that one. It’s going to be a whole different world, now. Hand-holding, quilt-making (I’m always up for a diversity-celebrating quilt making session myself — nothing soothes the nerves quite like it)…how do you say “kum ba yah” in Arabic, anyway?

    Man, this is really going to change everything. I know like a lot of my friends who have access to the Koran in English, we sure do love Islam. Every time I’m in downtown Manhattan, I think fondly about the Religion of Peace, and just hope more Muslims come here and bless us with their presence, like they did for Holland and France! Preferably millions — from the really religious countries.

    And you know what? They love us too! Because we have English-Koran capability. It just…it just changes everything somehow. It just does.

  • The first authorized Hebrew translation of the Qur’an, this edition will avoid use of “the term Israelite and narrations that cannot be confirmed
    what exactly are narrations that can’t be confirmed?
    is this going to be an accurate translation of the standard koran or some sort of koran lite?

  • Wow, DK, never thought I’d hear this kind of “Islamophobia” from you. Maybe you’re not a completely lost cause after all.

    Just to point out the (what I thought was ) obvious: DK’s being sarcastic, Adam.

    If a Hebrew translation of the Koran allows Israelis top better understand what an anti-Semitic religion Islam is, so much the better.

  • I’m thinking it would probably be rendered as “Elokim” because Hashem doesn’t really translate into Arabic (and Elokim transmits more of the same meaning than Hashem).

    Someone from Jews for Judaism told me that there is an evangelical element in Islam today that wants to see Jews convert to Islam — I hope that this is not the beginning of a new style proselytizing in Israel…

  • Why translate the Koran into Hebrew if you’re not trying to convert the Jews? I can’t see any other reason for it.

  • I do wonder about the not using the term “Israelite.” It will be interesting to see when it’s finished, and how it compares to other translations.

  • What idiot would want to read the Quran? There is better use for paper, like for wiping your a$$ for example.

    August you ignorant fool. Islam was a polytheistic idol-worshipping religion that was haphazardly thrown together, just like the Quran. I think there are 4? different accounts of creation. And thats just the beginning, Talk about a book for fools. If we applied today’s plagairism laws to the Quran, Mohammed would be guilty of plagiarizing the Torah and New Testament Scripture! (neither of which mention the quran or mohammed or any islamic parts whatsoever).

  • Wow, I had no idea that Haterade was kosher. Seriously, the idea of the Saudis sponsoring a translation of anything scares me- they tend to edit translations- even of the Qur’an- to their liking. Anyone who decides to read their translation should know that it’s propagandized scripture. If I knew of a good Hebrew translation , I’d suggest one.
    About not using the term Israelite: it’s a political decision, Rebecca. They want to avoid anything that might smack of recognizing Israel’s historic claim. The Arabic term used in the Qur’an would literally translate as “sons of Israel”, “children of Israel” indicating a tribal/clan designation. The Arabic language did have a separate term for Jews at that time, but the Qur’an uses “children of Israel”. I have a feeling that the word choice is rather relevant.

    • You so right. Even if it will be translated to Hebrew, it won’t be reliable. I really want to find out what it says in the Quran. I guess it will never happen, since the Muslims always try to hide any Jewish existence, or acknowledge relevance to Israel today. Lots of people mentioned that Mohammed the profit does mention that the sons of Israel will get their country back one day, I wonder if this quot is true. Will gladly open to any comments.

  • “Perhaps this could lead to an increase in Jewish-Muslim unity, and a decrease in prejudice.”

    I don’t want to criticize Y-Love too much for his article because I know he has the best intentions and means to do good. But this sounds so utterly naive I wondered I reading the article wasn’t in fact a waste of time.

  • Maybe I’m a bit more cynical than the “this will create universal understanding” comments and a bit more hopeful than the “this is only to convert Jews” comments, but my first thought upon reading this was from Sun-Tzu’s Art of War:

    If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of 100 battles. If you know yourself but not your enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will succumb in every battle.

    When so fanatical Muslims use this text as a basis for their actions, it’s hard to imagine how one can know their enemy without being familiar with what it says.

  • I think this is a great initiative, in case some Isrealis want to read the quran.
    Bytheway i’m looking for someone to help me with understanding hebrew.
    My mail adres is [email protected]
    I already know classical arabic, and i have this “introduction to biblical hebrew” book.
    I kind of find many things similar.
    La qam navi biYishirail keMosheh (if i wrote it correctly :P)
    I could understand this like snap 😛

  • Regarding WHY they are doing this translation. I have noticed that the Saudis have a tendency to refer to Israel or Jews as “the Hebrew nation”, stressing our language and ethnicity, not our religion.
    I believe they have hopes the Jews will convert to Islam, thereby solving their problem with Israel’s existence. It would suit them just fine if we all turned into Hebrew Muslims. As an aside, anyone who thinks Christians are the problem and Muslims are just terrific must be living on the far side of the moon.

  • To all biggot idiots, an Hebrew translation is required so that blood suckers can see that all prophets Moses (PBUH), Jesus (PBUH), Ibrahim (PBUH) ….are mentioned in the Quran |(for example Jesus) than Mohammed (PBUH). We muslim cannot be if without all previous Jewish prophets. May god bless you!

  • Islam doesn’t allow force conversion of others and that what they choose to believe is their choice: [“Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out clear from Error: whoever rejects Taghut (evil) and believes in God hath grasped the most trust worthy hand-hold, that never breaks. And God heareth and knoweth all things. ” (Qur’an 2:256)] and “Say: O you who reject faith. I worship not what you worship, You worship not what I worship…To you be your religion, and me mine.” (Qur’an 109:1-6). To find out more details on this, see http://www.missionislam.com/discover/compulsion.htm. So, really, if you want to remain a Jew, you have the right to be so. To the saddistic bigots, in answering your question and bias statements on that the mission of being a Muslim is to be terrorists, you’re wrong based on two main reasons. 1) “Fight against those who fight against you in the way of God, but do not transgress, for God does not love transgressors. (Qur’an 2:190) 2) “whosoever kills a human being for other than man’s slaughter or corruption on earth, it would be as if he killed all mankind; and whosoever saves one life, it would be as if he had saved the life of mankind” (Qur’an 5:32)
    ) – reference: http://www.islam-usa.com/e106.htm. So killing a person for vengeance is not justice in Islam, and is seen as a murder in the eyes of God in Judgment Day.

    Islam doesn’t teach you that to become a Muslim you must hate non-Muslims. On the contrary, it teaches you that we are to uphold moral and ethical values, submitting to the will of the One unseen God, to give charity to the poor, sheltering the orphans, protect women from misuse (women have the rights to accept or refuse a marriage, and if she’s not happy with a marriage she can file for a divorce. Though both parents are respected, the mother somehow has a higher degree of respect. If you read the Qur’an, you’d notice there’s a verse dedicated to Mary’s name – telling stories of her struggling in carrying Jesus in her tummy and raising him as well as God accepts her for her piety), and realising that they are people wish to retain different religions to you and it’s their choice (as seen with the verses above). However, regardless of what one chooses to do – everyone’s actions will be accountable towards God in the Day of Judgment.

    The problem is with some people is to do with ignorance of others faith and they refuse to learn more because of that thinking it’s all bad without opening a book on it or refusing to open up and ask questions – just because one or a few people commit a crime against your family, friends or you, doesn’t mean that everyone in that society is bad.

    Can you bigots give me reference on where (from some kind of book, journal or any other credible source) to justify your statements that 600 million Muslims hate non-Muslims and are terrorists? I really want to look it up.

  • ash shaheen: No. None of the previous prophets were Jewish nor Christian. They were all trying to give the human-kind the same message, which we got from our last and final prophet, Muhammed(PBUH). Which we Muslim’s know that it is Islam, which is the right path to God.
    Evidence:
    130. And who turns away from the religion of Abraham but such as debase their souls with folly? Him We chose and rendered pure in this world: And he will be in the Hereafter in the ranks of the Righteous.

    131. Behold! his Lord said to him: “Bow (thy will to Me):” He said: “I bow (my will) to the Lord and Cherisher of the Universe.”

    132. And this was the legacy that Abraham left to his sons, and so did Jacob; “Oh my sons! Allah hath chosen the Faith for you; then die not except in the Faith of Islam.”

    133. Were ye witnesses when death appeared before Jacob? Behold, he said to his sons: “What will ye worship after me?” They said: “We shall worship Thy Allah and the Allah of thy fathers, of Abraham, Isma’il and Isaac,- the one (True) Allah. To Him we bow (in Islam).”

    134. That was a people that hath passed away. They shall reap the fruit of what they did, and ye of what ye do! Of their merits there is no question in your case!

    135. They say: “Become Jews or Christians if ye would be guided (To salvation).” Say thou: “Nay! (I would rather) the Religion of Abraham the True, and he joined not gods with Allah.”

    136. Say ye: “We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma’il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam).” (2: 130 – 136)

    140. Or do ye say that Abraham, Isma’il Isaac, Jacob and the Tribes were Jews or Christians? Say: Do ye know better than Allah. Ah! who is more unjust than those who conceal the testimony they have from Allah. but Allah is not unmindful of what ye do! (2:140)

    67. Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah.s (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah.
    (2:67)

  • This article is a fine one. Although, I can’t say much for the statement, “Perhaps this could lead to an increase in Jewish-Muslim unity, and a decrease in prejudice…” A nice thought, though.

    As for the comments, I am saddened to read such vicious statements indicating a great deal of ignorance. To them I say, get informed! Don’t burden us with your disgusting ramblings. ‘600 million …’ huh!? Who, with any sense can take such a thing seriously? Yaacov b. Cohen is right in suggesting people read credible, logically sound sources, not the CRAP, forgive the expression, you find on blogs like these, and tabloids written by incoherent and uneducated buffoons. (Not to say that Academia is always right, but undoubtedly the quality of the production by far supersedes the aformentioned.)

    The contributor ‘AC’, I have this to say to you: you’re just so beyond help there’s nothing one can say. You have little authority to call others ignorant when you are… well, enough said there, not point soiling my finger-tips on that!

    Rav Yonnah, I am surprised that such a defiling thought can even cross your mind when you should know well that every single letter of the Alephbet is holy. Aside from this, even if this translation were to use the transliterated ‘Allah’ for Hashem, it is evident that Allah is just another of a myriad of names of HaKadosh Baruch Hu. And that, just as one cannot utter or even think the English word ‘G-d’ in a washroom, so too this applies to Allah, for our G-d is the one and the same, regardless of theological disagreements. I cringe at your mere suggestion at all. Ten lanu Tikun h’Atsmenu, Borei Olam!

    As for this translation, it is right to realise that anything that is being authorised and overseen by this Wahabi publishing authority, must be taken with a grain of salt. But the endeavour is nevertheless a legitimate one and welcomed. May the Creator hasten the coming day when we forget our distinctions and only celebrate our similarities!

    I close on the final reflection that the instances of tolerance and coexistence in Islamic history by far outweigh those few occasions of intolerance and violence, even taking into account the present circumstance (where the message of Islam has been hijacked by usurpers and liars, both within and without). Retrospectively and cumulatively, Christianity has done a greater deal of damage to non-Christians than Islam to non-Muslims. Or rather, Christianity has been used to the greater detriment of humanity than Islam. Any reasonable and informed person should keep in mind that religious creeds, at least those with any history, have all had the misfortune of being misrepresented and misused for purposes that are beyond and condemned by that faith. Sadly, I cannot exclude my own beloved faith from this statement.

    It is incumbent upon all of us to prevent the usurpation of our faiths.

  • We have several translations here of the Koran into German. I read it for better understanding of the complex world. But instead of wiping out my stereotypes about Islam, they even made them more concrete. And I sometimes wish I had never read it. It is so full of hatred and knowing the way they think about Christians and Jews and other “pagans” I fear that one day they might really become more powerful!
    I have a Hebrew copy of the New Testament. And honestly, it is so similar to the Tanakh. While I cannot imagine the Koran which is all but holy, written in Hebrew. And the Muslims will always say the same they say about German, English, French and whatever translations: They will say they are anti-Islamic propaganda from Zionists. This will happen to the Hebrew version also…

  • its amazing how the only person here talking about flushing the koran down the toilet happens to be a jewish rabbi..

  • To AJL:
    How do you know this person is a Rabbi. Just as I call myself by a different name so may others use pseudonyms and pen-names.

    To M.J.:
    OUr TAnakh has numerous instances where the early Israelites commited brutal and vicious acts against their enemies. There is also ample evidence of vicious discrimination against non-Jews. Some of these acts were supposedly sanctioned by G-D. The key for reading religious texts is interpretation and knowing when things must be taken allegorically and literally. This applies to all faiths with a literary tradition and cannon.

  • Elena: Judaism and Islam is strict Absolute Monotheistic religion. Christian invented a three-headed-God from Bible.

    In another hand, Even though Muslim didn’t “copy and paste” Old Testament into our Holy Book like Christians does, Muslim are strict observer of First 4 Law of 10 Commandments (Regarding Oneness of God, and Prohibition of Idolatry). For Muslim, God of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, REGARDLESS whatever holy names the human called HIM, he is the ONLY ONE. The fundamental principle of theology make Muslims are more common to Judaism.

    ==========================================================

    Ephraim: “Anti-Semitic Religion Islam???” I thought Arabs and majority of Middle Easterners are Semitic Tribes. Son of Shem ben Noah. How can they profess a religion that anti of their ancestry?

    ==========================================================

    Rabbi Yonah: Jewish-speaking Arab call “The Holy Ineffable Name” as ALLAH right? And even if they rendered it as YHWH or Eloha or Elohim, I don’t see any problem of it. Obviously, people can’t precisely write ALLAH in Hebrew Alphabets. ALLAH have millions of names, and the meaning depend on the heart of the utterer.

    Muslim didn’t bring Holy Books to toilet, and mostly didn’t use written paper for istinja’, because we have tissue and water for it. And flushing name of God in Hebrew YHWH or Elohim, while we know it refer to the ONLY ONE, is bad action and we won’t do that. I don’t know if Jews think otherwise.

    ==========================================================

    Rebecca: In al-Quran, the specific term for Israelites (Yishraeli) is Bani Isra’il (Sons/Descendant of Israel). I think they will maintain the name, or be translated to “Bnei Yisrael”, perhaps?

    ==========================================================

    AC: You know you are lying.

    ==========================================================

    Nakia: People can always criticizing the Translation of al-Quran. Because translation of al-Quran is man-made. The translation may be the best, standard and reliable, done by Hebrew Scholar, but after all, that is not God’s. No single word can translate God’s Word, and Muslim always preserved and recite the scriptures in original language rather than translated one.

    I believe Jews of Diaspora, whom spoke Germans or English as first language also preserved OT in Hebrew, and read Hebrew version, rather than English version.

    And one more to add; “Yahudi” in al-Quran refer to Judaism follower after been the religion been systematize during Judah Kingdom, “Yahud” is Judaism, while Bani Israel referred to all tribes of Israel including those Lost 10 Tribes, not only Judah Tribes.

    ==========================================================

    BA: These is not about WAR of Conversions, the action is for mutual understanding. Many Muslim read Torah too.

    ==========================================================

    Ash Shaheen: I have to agree with Yazan. Allah didn’t categorized human based on Jews or Arabs. All prophets are Muslims (Submitters to God and Peacemaker)… regardless they are from Bani Israil, Bani Ismail, or Tribe of Judah (Jews).

    ==========================================================

    MJ: I read Bible in English and Malay; almost 1/3 of it tell us about brutality of God, or derived and inspired by God. No offense.

    And Al-Quran is WARNING to some people, and GOOD NEWS to another people. We can choose in what category we are.

    For example, Al-Quran told us about anger of God to Israelites because they kill prophets, broke Law of Sabbath, commit idolatry, etc. Take your Bible and compare. It is just same. It seems to be “over-generalization” by God, but God also praise Moses, Jesus, Joshua, Isaac, righteous prophets, and all other Israelite in al-Quran. When majority people does wrong and accept that wrong-doing, whole community will be punished – e.g; Israelites Kingdom of Samaria. They are Israel. But, good people will be noted such as Elijah and Elisha.

    ==========================================================

    I’m sorry for mistakes, God know the best.

  • Shalom Aleikhem I do not know why people seem to be in an uproar regarding a Hebrew translation of the Quaran.
    As a matter of fact many will see how the Quaran confirms the Torah and part of the Talmud.Those who talk profanities just show their level of intelligence.Arrogance is not a virtue.Now regarding the Saudi translation i am suspicious of it having read the preface.The term Israelite appears in the Quaran several times as Children of Israel Bani Israil.The word Yahudi also can be found as Arabic Hudai.The word Allah for GOD can remain the same as it is already found in the Torah in Barashiyth 33:20″EL ELOH Yisrael”That is the Hebrew equivalent of Allah which is the same in Aramaic ALAH.
    Please dont get your politics or religion confused with the subject at hand.The Saudis say that they will not relate some of which cannot be confirmed they must be talking about their hadiths oral traditions.Because if they edit the Quaran they are guilty of a serious crime in ISLAM.Many of you may think that I am a mohamadan after reading this post but you are mistaken .Im a Jew with an interest in shedding light on a serious matter. SHALOM ALEIKHEM

  • I have studied hebrew.It would be a good idea for orthodox jews to imbrace Islam.I am glad the quran is translated into hebrew.They will understand their background as well.The quran can also be translated into assyrian.May Allah guide everybody.

  • Wow why so much closed-mindedness here? I believe that the individual has the right to have access to any and all spiritual documents. After all, we have to follow the ONE TRUE GOD and BEWARE OF FALSE PROPHETS. The words on the scriptures are the word of God, but there are many false prophets. Look inward for your answer.

    Every Muslim I have met has been nothing but peace-loving, brilliant individuals.

    I think this is as step in the right direction. Once two countries can share their scriptures, real peace can begin.

    This also means that people will be able to relate to each other. Maybe this will be a good chance for many to speak muslims about the Torah? The Bible is translated into Arabic, but it has taken THIS LONG to translate the Qu’ran into Hebrew? Something is wrong with this picture.

    Please, read a book, it’s just text. I follow the ONE TRUE GOD, which cannot be explained with text and false prophets alone. I must look inside my heart and the heart of others.

    • “Every Muslim I have met has been nothing but peace-loving, brilliant individuals”

      1.3 billion peace-loving, brilliant individuals! Wow! I’m sure they’re raising the planet’s peace-loving quotient and IQ average! Where do I buy some of what they’ve got? Where do I find the ONE TRUE GOD? Is he made of atoms?

  • Jews and Muslims have, away too much in common than with Christians. I hate the idea we both wanted to kill each other instead of loving and be one family. So, I would encourage every jew to learn the Quran for an academic purpose and see for yourself how truly Islam and muslims have in common with Jews.

    Love each other, we all are accountable before The God.

    Micheal Richard.

  • Michael, Jews clearly invented Islam to weaken the people and create a “master race” for themselves. If Jews really did believe in God and the Torah they wouldn’t be so racist to Muslims. Why are they so obsessed with Israel and Zionism. Its sick how it rules their lives. They should just ethnically cleanse the Palestinians a la the Holocaust all those years ago. Irony.

  • Why do people think that hate is mutual? I couldn’t care less for the Yishmaelim except that they want to kill me.

    The fact is, that the Muslims are supposed to respect us, if we were truly pious. They cannot stand to see non-religious Jews. The Zionists they talk about so much, and who they want to annihilate, are the secular Mapai and descendants that conquered the land of Israel. They say that the seculars make the land impure, I even remember a comment by Nasrallah during the Lebanon war about this.

    The Muslim wave sweeping the Middle East could be a great thing for us if we knew how to talk with them forcefully and from scripture. As a secular nation, they will continue to want to wipe us out.

  • قل هو الله أحد, الله الصمد,لم يلد ولم يولد, ولم يكن له كفوا احد

  • i completely study ‘koran’, something ‘bible & torah’, i thing there is no conflict, just mistake of understanding & something is mantel complications.
