From Wikipedia:
Tisha B’Av (Hebrew: תשעה ב×ב or ט׳ ב×ב, “the Ninth of Av,”) is an annual fast day in Judaism, named for the ninth day (Tisha) of the month of Av in the Hebrew calendar. The fast commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples in Jerusalem, which occurred about 656 years apart, but on the same date. Accordingly, the day has been called the “saddest day in Jewish history”.
Here’s the scene at the Kotel in Jerusalem tonight c/o Andy Ratto:
Aw. And here I am in Babylon. It sure doesn’t feel like TiSha B’Av even though I know that soon I will be hungry and thirsty and Kelsey‘s going to make fun of me for clinging to archaic rituals. But whatever. At least he knows what Tisha B’Av is.

If the hunger gets too strong, just think about taking a bus in Canadia; I gurantee this’ll ruin your appetite for quite a while.
Wow, this video was by far, too short.
thanks for the glimpse! When did that white mechitza go up? I haven’t been there in way too long.
Why are people speaking on the cell phones from the holiest site on earth? They need to ask their wives what to bring home from the macholet from there?!?
