Remember when George Benson did a jazz guitar version of all of Abbey Road one month after the Beatles released theirs? Me neither, but it happened. Seems that remixes killed covers for the most part, especially when it’s electronic music going to acoustic form, and that’s a shame.

Sooo my dude Diwon sent me this one today. It’s by Avi Fox-Rosen, the Jewish folk slingin-americana-song-writer, with tabla and gamelan percussion plus strings replaying Santo Gold’s “Creator” inna world-psych style.

It’s more East Village in the 60s than Brooklyn today, so dig.

Enjoy! – DJ Balagan
