In the wake of publicized incidents of bullying and suicides, a popular movement erupted under the umbrella of “It Gets Better.” Initiated by author and columnist Dan Savage, it has hit a tipping point and grown geometrically with videos, lectures, out-reaches, in-reaches, reach arounds, and a forthcoming book of essays.

Jewish groups have also formally become involved, including the pledge against bullying and videos from New York City’s Congregation Beit Simchat Torah. The synagogue has already posted half a baker’s dozen of videos on youtube and their homepage that can be viewed. And they are inviting people to make more. Two videos feature rabbis, one features a synagogue president, and two others feature members, one of whom is an award winning producers of Late Night With David Letterman. They can be viewed here.
