Speaking at a Chicago fundraiser, Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney had this to say about the essence of America:

It’s individuals and their entrepreneurship which have driven America … What America is not a collective where we all work in a Kibbutz or we all in some little entity, instead it’s individuals pursuing their dreams and building successful enterprises which employ others and they become inspired as they see what has happened in the place they work and go off and start their own enterprises.

This was seen by some as a diss against Israel, barely a week after Romney’s visit there. But Romney is right. America is not a like a Kibbutz. Not at all, not even close!! Long considered an icon of Israel, the Kibbutz movement, whose members often made up the elite of Israeli society, has seen its influence and relevance fade. This precipitous decline began in the 80’s when economic turmoil and risky financial projects left individual Kibbutzes drowning in debt. • "This was seen by some as a diss against Israel". Sure, if by some you mean people with their heads so far up their own ass they consider Obama pro-Israel, definitely.

    • Oh Alex. I love how you provide a sane counterbalance. Yes, President Obamination is the devil crypto-Muslim anti-Semite hater of Zion that all those folks say he is. Those people have their heads in a light filled, airy crevice for sure. Yup.

Did I say or believe that? And there’s a huge difference between hating and being cold on Israel. Luckily, he’s been so busy growing jobs he hasn’t had much time to act on Israel, so recently, he’s been pretty negligible, but where he has acted can only be construed by non-objective viewers as pro-Israel. Romney has only alluded to how he would act, but given Obama’s previous statements, actions, associations, and stated beliefs and worldview it’s reasonable to assume he would continue to act “pro-Israel” especially in a second term. And having Axelrod in his inner circle is nothing to brag about either.
