ALAS!

On August 18, 2020, former U.S. President and Senator Barack Obama tweeted out his annual playlist, the songs he is listening to in order to chill and get through the pandemic. Some of those listed will perform at the online Democratic National Committee (DNC) convention this week.

His list included music by Billie Eilish, Frank Ocean, Bob Dylan, Beyoncé, John Legend, the Chicks, Common, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, J. Cole, HAIM, Outkast, John Coltrane, D’Angelo, Sheryl Crow, Billie Holiday, Otis Redding, War, Nas, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Childish Gambino, Megan Thee Stallion, Leon Bridges and Khruangbin, Nina Simone, Bonnie Raitt, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Anderson .Paak, Khalid, H.E.R., Tank and the Bangas, Moses Sumney, Teyana Taylor, Jennifer Hudson, Maggie Rogers, Billy Porter, Mac Miller, Chet Baker and Andy Shauf.

It is an eclectic mix, but… it was missing some Israeli tunes.

To rectify these omissions, I have my short playlist below… song on heavy rotation on my laptop.
