Jerusalemites woke up this morning to over 10 inches of snow that fell overnight in the capital. Roads closed, busses stopped running and the shrieks of children playing in Gan Sachar woke me up today. My neighbor Dalia made an awesome snow girl that reflects the current 50 shades mania generated by the release of the movie. I wonder what’s going to get to that snow girl first – the sun’s melting power or a mob of angry Haredim offended by the exposure of immodest snow girl elbow. I’m betting on the sun because there weren’t too many shtreimels out today…

Shabbat shopping was super easy. There were only a few stalls open – and that’s all I need! I was done in less than 20 minutes. I would have done it faster but there were loads of Birthright Israel kids and photographers there. Gotta love Birthright Israel! Shabbat Shalom!
