Be happy?
The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
–Psalms, Chapter 58, Verse 10
Don’t be happy?
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
–Proverbs Chapter 24, Verses 17-18

Rabbi Yisroel Dovid Weiss, of Natorei Karta, arrived at Arafat’s death bed last week (bearing flowers!) to show solidarity with Arafat and the Palestinians.

Sheesh! 🙄
This morbid Arafat death watch is tiring me. I’m a go finish preparing for shabat and watch some South Park reruns.
When Bush was informed of the news that Arafat had died (this was 2 days ago, Gd bless the American media), he said something like, “May Gd bless his soul.”
I guess death is the great equalizer, and when a character like Arafat is about to exit stage-left, his part if over, and the rest of the world stage can now progress with the play. I just wonder how it ends…
Welcome the change. Don’t gloat. Hope for the best.
