Who? Pay attention. I’m pretty sure this boy is going places. Marty, the author of Generation S.L.U.T.: A Brutal Feel-up Session with Today’s Sex-Crazed Adolescent Populace and a writer for magazines like Penthouse, Rolling Stone, etc. first came to my attention as a participant on our first Jewlicious Taglit-birthright israel trip. Recently he returned to Israel as a participant on ROI120. In the following video clip, we see Marty quip the light fantastic on some dumb ass Fox Television show. He’s got potential I think, can his own talk show be far behind? Stay tuned!

Thanks for responding in a more thoughtful manner yitzi. NOW you have a point that ought to be addressed!
CK-
sorry about the “waste of time” comment–completely out of place (free-choice right?).
It’s just that this Marty does seem to be a very intelligent and quick on his feet guy and I guess i just want to see more quality. True, you can’t expect much from a show on that level, but with someone as intellegent as he is it would be nice to see the discourse raised to something beyond his comments that “this is America and we want to see Boobs,” and talking about “suck-fests” for a laugh. I’m just saying that if you got the goods, why not really use them so that he’s not just an “iconic Jew” (as you mentioned)shouldering the world while standing with the rest in the muck and instead taking the world to a new level…. one little witty moment at a time. Shabbat Shalom CK and all.
Ah, sweet little Marty Beckerman did a great job. I agree with CK, this is pretty much the Marty you get in person too. I’d’ve hemmed and hawed and said nothing funny, so I’m totally impressed that he was able to be so involved in the conversation for not being in studio with the main group.
Obviously you don’t know Marty. He seems like he’s trying too hard because as an iconic Jew he has the weight of the world on his shoulders. That’s the way he is all the time. While the show itself was undoubtedly dumb, as I specified in the post (so that you would have the option of not wasting your time) I found Marty to b at ease and comfortable in front of the camera. I for one look forward to Late Night with Marty Beckerman. of course I don’t own a television, nor do I live in America, but at least I’ll be able to say “Beckerman? I knew that little fucker when he was running around chasing Zionist Elders for media crumbs.”
Stupid, stupid show….of course. Marty looks like he’s trying too hard….and not coming off with anything witty or intelligent to say. Thanks for the waste of time.
