These hot gals are wild! And they are ready to do just about anything to get you to “follow” them! After the bump, check out the Jewlicious list of the 50 sexiest Jewish babes on the Internet, complete with bios, turn-ons and brain melting pics!
But first, a little background.
It all started rather innocuously. The JTA, the news gathering arm of the US Jewish community, sent out a fund raising letter signed by its President Elisa Spungen Bildner. The letter contained words that some bloggers and twitterers found somewhat disparaging. A quick quasi-apology was issued and calm was urged. About a month later, the JTA published a list of the 100 Most Influential Jewish Twitterers which was meant to highlight the important role played by individual and organizational twitter users in driving and influencing the course of Jewish communal discourse.
Ranked #2 on the list, I decided that modesty would prevent me from making any sort of big deal about my placement. But others took serious umbrage with the list’s methodology and results. Particularly bombastic was were the tweets exchanged by @benatlas, a pioneering blogger who helped create Protocols and ran MentalBlog (2 early, now defunct popular Jewish blogs) and @mobius1ski aka Dan Sieradski, founding editor of Jewschool and the JTA’s Director of Digital Media. In a blistering exchange Sieradski declared: “@benatlas and you are a crybaby who’s mad about not making an ultimately insignificant list.”
If it IS an “ultimately insignificant” list, why run it? Why spend the time and effort to pay homage to Jewish twits? And on what basis are any of these people influential?
#50 has 135 followers and 62 updates
#49 has 152 followers and 122 updates
#47 has 282 followers and 131 updates
#30 has 797 followers and 526 updates
#9 has 172 followers and 1,056 updates
#2 currently has 1,474 followers, 3,847 updates and is a complete shit head.
Huh? How do you influence anything with so few followers? Even The Middle has written comments that contain more than 62 x 140 characters and were read by thousands and thousands of readers. And what influence does he have? Even his kids, if he indeed even has any, don’t listen to him. I myself only started twittering seriously just over a month ago as part of an elaborate joke following the publication of my “You Too Can be a Jewish Social Network Consultant!” post. I followed my own directions and now, what 6 weeks later, I’m the 2nd most influential Jewish twitter according to the JTA??
So yes, for once I agree with Sieradski. It is an ultimately insignificant list. What purpose did it serve? Well, it must have helped undo the damage caused by Elisa Spungen Bildner’s letter. The majority of the busiest twitter/bloggers were included in the list and many were very proud of their accomplishments being acknowledged by what was now considered an authoritative organization! This could also not have hurt the JTA’s fledgling Kavod/Blog aggregator efforts as well. But more importantly, it created name brand recognition and butt loads of traffic for the JTA who, after all, generate more revenue with their Google et al. ads as the visits and clicks increase.
It was a textbook “Increase Your Web Site Traffic for Dummies” move. Web surfers love lists. They also love controversy. This was masterfully executed and should reflect well at job review time on whoever it was at the JTA that executed this. Ahem. But there’s just one thing… as mentioned before, if this was in fact an ultimately insignificant list, what the JTA did was pull the wool over its readers eyes in a cynical excercise in manipulation. What about Journalistic integrity? Would the New York Times publish ultimately insignificant list? Would any self respecting news outlet? What’s next? So yeah. Sorry. There is no “Jewish Twitter Girls Gone Wild: The Top 50!” I was just making a point.

Why are we letting him into our site?
rozi:
what’s your point, prodigal “hero?â€
israel isn’t fucking saudi arabia, women should dress how they please.
tell that to the haredim rozi, at least saudi arabia is honest
this is a test for you ck, will you delete my comments like a chickenshit coward or will you be brave enough to respond?
i didnt want to descend to your level but since you made it personal i had no choice, you could have stuck to my race but you had to make it personal
dont cry back to mommy if you are a coward
“Do you know where your Mother/Sister/Girlfriend is?â€
i know where they are, but ck i also know where your mother and sister/girlfriend is….they are at
shaindy.com
i heard you can get a blow job for 5 shekels?
read it in a haaretz article
and one last thing, dont delete my comments, its what a coward would do, and your last comment showed that “gods chosen” when properly exposed are creeps in general.
hehehe sorry ck for responding so late,
actually i dont know whats the going rate for a hooker here, its probably the same as the hookers in tel aviv, haifa, eilat etc brought in from the former Soviet union as jews, no doubt the rabbis had a fine time in giving them jewish certificates, lol
oh and isnt israel supposed to be “gods chosen”, i mean you are supposed to be better than the goyim right
oh and ck i see now how much respect you have for women in general.
as for bangladeshi girls, they dont have “mommy and daddy” issues like most jewish girls, dont believe me, ask the jewesses you know, they will say”mommy/daddy didnt love me enough/touched me in my holy place.
Prodigal Hero: Plenty of slutty girls in Bangladesh too. What’s the going rate for hookers there now? 140 Taka a day? That’s like 2 dollars. “It’s 10 am Bangladesh! Do you know where your Mother/Sister/Girlfriend is?”
what’s your point, prodigal “hero?”
israel isn’t fucking saudi arabia, women should dress how they please.
I have slept with 17 of the Top 50 new Jew media gals. Who wants to make it chai?
actually ck i told themiddle to delete all my comments on my previous posts because i was tired of their stupid tactics
and the girls above may not be israeli but plenty of other girls even sluttier than them are in israel.
Ashley: I have your pitot. They’re still warm. Now what?
Prodigal: Your comment is moronic, but that’s like saying the sky is blue. Have you even read the post? By the way, the women pictured above isn’t Jewish or in Israel. Moron.
I suspect TM’s disgust with your stupidity is such that he’ll delete and ban ad nauseum. Me? I don’t care bc as a self appointed spokesman for the Palestinian people, you couldn’t do a better job if your were working for the IDF Spokesperson’s unit. You are as compelling as syphilis.
do these jewish girls represent the fulfillment of the covenant between jews and god?
“thou shall drive away the canaanites and edomites and palestinians to bring in more trashy american style loose women”
yes sirreee israel is soooooo different from the western goyim
this is why palestinians call bullshit when you jews use the torah to justify taking land from them,
according to your own torah, jews will inherit the land if you fulfill all your promises to god, and so far you have broken every promise
Wait, wait! Before Shabbat kicks in, did you remember to buy me some pitot from the shuk?
Rockingness…I can live with that!
Rabbi: Did u see the tags for this post? 🙂
Miriam Schwab: I will not be the Avigdor Lieberman to your Netanyahu! How about Ahuva runs for PM, I’ll be Foreign Minister, y-love Defense Minister, Esther Housing minister (obviously) and you can be… Shas? Your shabbes guests will love it!
Gruven Reuven: Props to you. You did say pretty much the same thing, and earlier, but I said it with hot babe implications, so I win. Heh.
Ashely: You made the list because your rockingness transcends mere religious affiliation. Or something.
Becca: The uh… offer still stands. Think of the traffic you’ll get!
Shabbat Shalom all y’all. Well except for Ashley.
Dude, I have raised 23million on that you are number two. Dont let me down we have enough for that Jewlicious on Java Fest in Indonesia now.
I’m not sure the list is totally insignificant. Hang on a second…wait [tweet tweet]…there: I just cured cancer. Next up: the Middle East peace process…solved in 140 characters or fewer.
Bonus for me: as a member of the Top 10, I understand I’m finally due to receive a company car from the Jewish People. It also means that I am approximately 8 people less dopey than CK. Valuable information, to be sure.
The idea about the list being insignificant is too dismissive of the problems in the list. Is it big deal? In the end of things, no. But in the meanwhile it’s still a piece of sloppy journalism. If anything, it shows how little respect the JTA still has for social media – they’ve pimped us out to bring in eyeballs, then laugh off their shoddy work and exploitation of Bloggers and twitterers.
It’s shameless and wrong.
I don’t do Twitter, Tom.
Where’s froylein on this list??
It’s the mohawk, definitely. Must be.
Maybe #2 made the list not so much because of his activity on Twitter but because he is, overall, an influential Jewish thought leader (bleh) with some interesting accomplishments online and elsewhere (Long Beach, CA for example)??? Hmmm…maybe they are more devious than you think.
The list was totally a ploy by JTA to repent for their anti-blogger letter and get some twitter buzz going.
But who cares if their selection process was flawed? The only thing that matters is that me (@miriamschwab – shameless plug) and @thebigfelafel were on it, which apparently gives us license to change the Jewish world! So I am now going to run for prime minister. CK, you can be Foreign Minister. I think your mohawk will generate some serious twitter buzz for our campaign, and that’s all that matters.
David, you should totally do this list. You can disparage Twitter but despite your criticism, I bet you think Twitter and the “lists” are fun. Doesn’t fun have value too?
Muffti LOVES hot chick misdirection!
The whole top #100 thing I found rather strange. It was nice PR for my organization (Magnes, #9 of organizations), but we really haven’t been around that long on Twitter and I’ll be the first to admit that my content is all over the map. “Influential?” Hardly. But I did find some cool folks to follow, so there’s value in that regard.
A better methodology would be to figure out whose posts are being retweeted.
love u babe
hi
hi
I got 279 new followers over 6 days since the post came out. My average is 42 new followers a day – which would be 252 followers over the course of 6 days. Not a huge difference, but whatever. It’s nice that you all got people talking about twitter.
My opinion of twitter was clearly expressed in a comment I left on an article in the Forward by Liel Leibovitz titled “Communication Breakdown: Dispatches from the Virtual World” :
So yeah. Twitter sucks. We’re all dopes, getting dopier by the day and my placement at #2 proves it. I’m blogging it, but you all opened that door for me.
Its definitely because of your mohawk CK. Since you encouraged me to get one, my followership is down too. 🙂
-@susqhb
Did you or did you not promise more pics, mohawk man?
And leave my kid out of this.
I have twitted 5 or 6 times in just my first 2 days on Twitter and am damned pissed I haven’t made the JTA list, especially after the one where I reported blowing my nose. @themiddle123 – your twitterer for vapid boredom.
…it is, after all, giving you plenty to blog about, isn’t it?
I got over 200 new followers in a week and I was way down on that list. Combined with the chatter about the list reverberating throughout the JBlogosphere, I’d call that a “good enough” response to have been worth the effort.
I’m sure Dan. It’s unfair to impugn your motives on the basis of a single under 140 character tweet – but still, it’s not such a leap to make the assumptions that I did. And while I have no doubt 8,000 people read the 100 Top Jewish Twitterers post in the JTA, maybe a tiny fraction of them actually signed up to twitter and followed someone new. My twitter follower count did not see a massive bump. Maybe it’s because of my Mohawk 🙂
dude, i was all excited about other jewish girl twitterers!
My point in saying that our list was ultimately insignificant wasn’t to say that it didn’t serve a value in its moment — it’s helped over 8,000 people so far find more Jewish Twitterers to follow, connect to and learn from.
Rather, my point was to say that in the grand scheme of things, it’s just a list of Twitterers. It has no real bearing on the universe and isn’t anything to get upset over.
LOL, I said pretty much the EXACT same thing.. (see link below)
http://mordechai7215.blogspot.com/2009/05/gruven-reuven-on-jta-fail-whale.html
Just a ploy to get eyeballs on their website!
Says A LOT about their Journalistic integrity
And a good point it is. Lists are eaten up, we love ’em.
I want to know how the heck I made this list (OK, the influential newswire list, straight in at No.12 and climbing!), being a non-Member of the Tribe. Bloody disgraceful research job.
But hello to all those new followers!
Your list is totally incomplete because I am the hottest Jewess big mouth on twitter barr none. Don’t believe me? Just ask those I’ve told to EFFFF OFF! LMAO.
Good for you for taking issue with any club that would have you as a member.
There is something wrong and my browser won’t show the list with my name in the top 10.
Could you re-format?
