Purim in Jerusalem this year was totally off the hook. Parties and events took place from Monday night to Sunday at First Station, Betzalel Academy on Mt. Scopus, Machaneh Yehudah, Safra Square, Mamilah, Downtown, the Tower of David, Sacher Park and, of course, Nachlaot. The city of Jerusalem put together this hilarious video to document all the drunken shenanigans. This is remarkable because it’s a really good video and not all the events documented were, uh… legally sanctioned by the city.

The partying was actually pretty phenomenal. Me and the crew attended loads of them because they were all in walking distance from each other. Some cost shekels but most were free and folks were very generous with their alcohol and party favors. The action was phenomenal. Ayo even said that she need never attend another Burning Man again! OK, enough of my patter… here’s the video:

I myself had a very fun Purim costume:

Buddies

I’m the guy with the Islamic Jihad head band. Some people thought I confused Halloween with Purim, others thought it was a modern day Amalek thing. Me? I thought I was dressed like a clown.

Anyhow, if you were partying in Jerusalem on Purim, you know what I’m talking about. If you weren’t then I am truly sorry. It’s not too soon to make travel arrangements to celebrate Purim in Jerusalem in 2015!
