According to an article in Haaretz, the song “When we Die as Martyrs,” recorded by Jordanian production company and TV station “Bird of Paradise,” has already inspired dozens of spin-offs on YouTube. The music video features a children’s choir, with a solo by a beautiful little girl with wide brown eyes. The lyrics, which can be viewed in the music video, are:

“When we die as martyrs, we will go to heaven.
When we die as martyrs, we will go to heaven.
No don’t say that we are young,
This life has turned us into adults.
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?

Even if they give us the entire world,
No, no, it won’t make us forget her.
My country and my blood are for her sake.
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?

Children, you have fulfilled your religious obligation.
Children, you have fulfilled your religious obligation.
There is no God but God, and the martyr is God’s favorite.
You have taught us the meaning of manhood.
You have taught us the meaning of manhood.

Even if they give us the entire world,
No, no, it won’t make us forget her.
My country and my blood are for her sake.
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?

O Allah, with your mercy I shall be assisted.
O vital and enduring God,
O merciful or mercifuls, O noble of nobles,
O Allah, protect Islam and the Muslims.

O Allah, protect Islam and the Muslims.
O Allah, save the children of Palestine.
O Allah, take revenge for us.

O Allah, take revenge for us.
O Allah, answer our prayers. Amen.

Even if they give us the entire world,
No, no, it won’t make us forget her.
My country and my blood are for her sake.
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?
Without Palestine, what meaning is there to childhood?”

According to the article, this child-friendly face of jihad, has become extremely popular throughout the Arab world, and has made it as far as England and Canada.  At the same time, according to an article in the Jerusalem Post, the IDF has established new guidelines which would help further ensure the safety of the Palestinian civilian population, should there be another military conflict in Gaza.

  • If I were living under the hand of opression I would let my Child stand up there with them.

What will you do without US support and an EU boycott.?

  • Wow. You hyperlinked a word in my comment without my even directing you to do so. Cool.

  • Since ridicule is the only thing that works against a pride/shame culture that is so warped as to ban alcohol (and with it, one would presume, the idea of letting bygones be bygones), I suggest you hold a contest for these videos to compete amongst each other under the title: Bad Parenting of the Month Award.

Today, the Bad, Horrible Parenting of the Month Award goes to… envelope please: The Palestinians! And yes, rounding out the category for the last seven years, the Palestinians are proud to win the bad parenting award of the month yet again. Let’s hear it for them!

Then start naming individual Palestinian rabbits parents.
