Dear Jewlicious Readers,
How are you? I am fine. Long Beach is swell. There’s a yuge conference here, with Jews and t-shirts and bands and stuff. The food is plentiful and good, and we have been eating meals every two hours. (Small, three-point meals, don’t you worry, Weight Watchers! Cholent has zero points per 1-pound serving, right?)
My roommate is a woman named Laya and she lives in Jerusalem! We have a lot in common and get along well. We actually discovered that we have the same birthday, which totally rocks. CK’s here too, but he’s not my roommate (LOL)!
Lots of cool students from area universities and Hillels are here, and right now, after Shabbat, there are bands beginning to play including The Hip Hop Hoodios, the Makkabees and the world- and Long Beach Hillel-renowned Rabbi Yonah and the Flying Shih-Tzus! (Totally stylin’?? I know!)
Shabbat was great, more info to come. I hear a band beginning to play, so I’d better go.
