Ice.com, the leading online jeweler known for their innovative marketing techniques (ie. no less than 3 jewelry related blogs and an upcoming video-cast) are now also becoming known for their commitment to tradition.
In an article in the NYTimes on the strange marriage between Internet merchants and the Sabbath, ice.com founder Shmuel Gniwisch is quoted as saying;
“I actually think we’ve gained,” said Shmuel Gniwisch, chief executive of Ice.com, a privately held online jeweler in Montreal. “Customers know if they need something they can wait until Sunday when we’re open, and people at the company have the chance to recharge and come back stronger.”
