I think there’s no need to recount what happened in Dimona yesterday. I think no blog entry we could publish will resolve the conflict. I know no blog entry we could publish will bring the victim(s) back to life or ease their pain.
Dimona is the sister city of the German city I went to school in, and it was the first Israeli city to establish a city partnership with Germany. Eleven years ago, I was in Dimona on a school exchange.
My thoughts go out to the victims, their families, and friends.

Did you let that dude intimidate you into writing this? If we covered every incident, we’d be a newspaper. We’re not. Just write whatever you want. If that means covering an attack, by all means. But don’t feel an obligation.

Muslims Against Sharia condemn the murderers responsible for the homicide bombing in Dimona as well as degenerate perpetuation of the culture of death in Gaza.
Our prayers are with the victims of this atrocity. We send our condolences to their loved ones.
May the homicide bomber rot in hell for eternity. May his accomplices and animals who celebrated this horrendous act join him soon!

Yesterday was also a great day. We got to watch on video how an Israeli cop was allowed to shoot some Arab loser who wanted to massacre Jews. Then we got to see him paraded as a hero. This time, the usually defeatist mass-media played along with the patriotic defense of Jews. Only Haaretz had the balls to call it a vigilante killing without trial.
I don’t know the specifics of the case you’ve mentioned, Josh, but generally the Geneva Convention provides for combatants that are not recognizable as such (i.e. without uniform, thus qualifying them as guerilla) to be executed without prior trial.
WHAT IS DISTURBING ABOUT THIS STORY IS HOW IT IS BEING REPORTED AS JUST ANOTHER SUICIDE BOMBING. WHEN A PALESTINIAN IS ABLE TO GET INTO DIMONA to blow himself up, it is a dry run for blowing up the nuclear production facility in Dimona. And as the wind blows……………World War III. And the US cannot control anything Israel decides to do, but will have to live with the consequences as we have been doing these many years.
Oh, I see. So a Palestinian blows up and suddenly WWIII is here and, of course, Israel is part of it and whatever happens is bad for the US and is Israel’s fault. Is your last name Mearsheimer or Carter, Mary?
