More than just a show

Yes, of course there is a pretty big show happening at the University of Maryland on November 18. You can buy tickets from the University of Maryland Web site and all indications are that it’ll be a very good time. The venue is state-of-the-art and the show benefits from some great sponsors including the UMD JSU, the Israel-based international humanitarian project Save a Child’s Heart and even Papa John’s. UMD Hillel is also a sponsor and you can read more about them from their web site, JewMD.org. Yeah, you heard me. JewMD.

Yup JewMD is a pretty eye catching Web address, and the Web site itself, which we built for UMD Hillel, has garnered quite a bit of attention. What I like about it is that this snazzy Web site perfectly depicts the level of activity and excitement taking place at UMD Hillel. All the staff from top to bottom seem to be energized in a way I have rarely seen before. Jewlicious.ru editor Tanya Gutsol begin_of_the_skype_highlighting     end_of_the_skype_highlighting has made the most of her ROI connections, helping start the first ever Jewlicious campus group as well as incorporating content from Sarah Lefton’s G-dCast into regularly scheduled events. UMD also has a touch of Eli Winkelman with a very active branch of Challah for Hunger. Both Sarah and Eli are alums of Jewlicious and ROI.

So yeah, UMD Hillel staff? Give yourselves a pat on the back. You’re all doing a great job. And for those of you near Maryland and DC, go to the show and see first hand what all the excitement is all about!
