Ashkenafard is 24 hours of music, dance and art featuring over 20 artists from around the world this weekend at Los Angeles’s Sinai Temple. In addition, enjoy a charoset tasting contest, Jewish Artifact Road Show, banquets, exhibits and parties. It’s a funny name but a serious celebration “of Who We Are and Where We Come From,” said Craig Taubman, the producer and entertainer behind Ashkenafard, “and will feature the best Israeli, Sefardi, Persian, and Ashkenazi dance, music, and cuisine.” A quick look at the line-up confirms it – there are some amazing acts.

Internationally recognized performers include: Moshav, Soulfarm, Aviva Chernick, Galeet Dardashti, Noa Dori, The Los Angeles Israeli Dance Company, Kinetic Theory Theatre, Yuval Ron, Basya Schechter, Yale Strom and Hot Pstromi, Craig Taubman and many others.

Tickets are very affordable, thanks to many sponsors, and a weekend pass costs only $30.
