We are excited to announce that the Wallflowers and Foo Fighters’ keyboardist Rami Jaffee will be performing on the Main Stage at the Jewlicious Festival alongside Jonny Kaplan & The Lazy Stars on Saturday, March 9! Immediately following their set of blazing originals and covers of songs we all know and love, DJ Adam Melech will drop the beat and keep you dancing until the wee hours.
Jaffee is best known as a founding member of Americana favorites The Wallflowers, as well as his work for several bands and artists, including Pete Yorn, Soul Asylum, Pearl Jam, Stone Sour, Joseph Arthur and Coheed and Cambria. He has been a touring member of Foo Fighters since 2006 and is currently touring with Dave Grohl’s Sound City Players, alongside his fellow Foos, Stevie Nicks, Rick Nielsen from Cheap Trick, Krist Novaselic from Nirvana, Rick Springfield, and more!
Rami will be joined on the Jewlicious Main Stage by his friends Jonny Kaplan & The Lazy Stars from San Francisco and Jessy Greene on violin. The band has released three albums internationally. 1997′s independently released California Heart was named “Alternative country album of the month†by the UK’s esteemed rock magazine MOJO, which successfully jump starting his career. Next came 2005′s Ride Free and 2009′s Seasons. Jonny’s songs have been placed in many films and TV shows, including Fox’s House. Jessy Greene is a world-reknowned violinist who has toured the globe with Foo Fighters, P!nk, Soul Asylum, Golden Smog and her own band, Geraldine Fibbers.
Once the band has played the final note of their encore, one of LA’s favorite party people Adam Melech will rock the boat and keep everybody on their feet into the night. In addition to aural treats, a killer light & projection show will keep it interesting until they shut it down or everybody passes out – whatever happens first!
Is Jessy Greene the violinist Jewish?
