Jerusalem is verily booming in many respects – the economy is growing, the cultural scene is exploding and things are just hopping in general. One example of this is the sudden appearance of not one, but 2 internet radio stations run in a very professional manner by very dedicated staff. There’s the Voice of Free Jerusalem run out of a bar at 5 Heleni Hamalka in downtown Jerusalem and operated by my buddy Shai Friedman. Then there’s also JLM.FM run out of Salon Shabazi, located in Nachlaot at 1 HaRav Shalom Shabazi.
Last Friday Jewlicious was invited to broadcast on the Open Show at JLM.FM and so I decided to invite my friend Adam Scott Bellos to be my guest. Adam works for the NU Campaign – the guys that sell our swag in their store downtown but, for some odd reason, still not on their Web site… In any case, both Adam and I recently attended the Presidential Conference (which Jessica more than ably covered for Jewlicious) and that got us talking about Jewish peoplehood, Israel and hot Swedish DJs. We mixed in some tunes to help people find their pre Shabbat groove and this is what it sounded like:
Please let me know what you thought and if you liked the show, I can try to do it again and post the results here. Enjoy!
Big ups to Tsofia Vindish our formerly Haredi sound engineer and Yaron Reis who invited me to the show.
