In the United States, there are two major party candidates running for President, and nine write-in candidates running from New York City. One of them is Yeshiva University Professor of Physics Neer Asherie, age 44. Neer’s platform includes a distaste for the two-party system and the Electoral College. He told a reporter that he entered the presidential race “because at least this way I can vote for someone I trust: me.” You may recall Neer from his wedding video that was featured in The New York Times a few years ago; it was a story of two physicists and their chemistry. A graduate of Cambridge and MIT, he speaks more languages than Clinton and Trump combined.
