Jewlicious at the Beach 3

Is it ever really too early to think about what you’ll be doing this coming March? Just think of this heads up as a public service by Jewlicious to let you know about our upcoming 3rd annual Jewlicious @ The Beach Festival. Last year over 350 people attended, including Jewish Reggae Superstar Mattisyahu and his wife Tahli. We enjoyed a show featuring Jewish Heavy Metal band The Makkabees, Rabbi Yo’s band Shankbone, Rav Shmuel, and the Hip Hop/Klezmer/Gospel stylings of SoCalled. There was a real LA-indie fashion show, tons of gourmet food, facinating speakers, movies… you name it. We’re expecting over 500 people this year given last year’s buzz and you really ought to think about being there. This year’s program will be even more spectacular and will include as many of the Jewlicious gang as we can get there. ck will take on all challengers for basketball. Muffti will help you with your intro to Philosophy papers, Esther will be giving a seminar on how to rap and Laya will take your photo and add it to the Web site so that your loser friends back home can see what an awesome time you’re having. And that’s just Friday afternoon.

So yeah – it’s still possible to have a positive Jewish experience that is both relevant and a heckuva lot of fun. Start thinking about California in March. We’ll see ya there.

  • While one rarely hears someone make a solid case for slavery to return to America, one could hear the case in favor of Y-LOVE playing at this year’s Jewlicious at the Beach — said argument would be far more solid and logical.
