True, PresenTense is a magazine, but we’re not just about the frontal presentation of articles and information. We’re going beyond the written page and beyond the internet, and providing real-life, in-person opportunities for people to meet over creative projects and advance the conversation on what it means to be a contemporary Jew in our generation. We’ve sponsored lectures and salons in New York, Chicago and most recently in Jerusalem, with other cities and events in the works.
Our latest event is PresenText: The Art of New Jewish Media, which draws artistic inspiration from previously published PT articles and reinterprets them through a lens of creativity, design and technology. The event is this Thursday, 1/25 at 8pm at the Bronfman Center at NYU (10th Street between 5th and University).
Through events and in print, PresenTense is helping to expand the conversation on Jewish identity–hearing different voices and opinions, seeing different ideological and artistic perspectives, respecting them and learning from them to create a more diverse, eminently contemporary exploration of Jewish identity in the age of technology.
RSVPs aren’t required, but help (and can be addressed to esther at presentensemagazine.org). Feel free to forward the information to friends or colleagues. Hope to see you there!
Hmmm… wonder if I can get a business trip scheduled in time…
Hmmmm…
Have a great event! Chances are slim I’ll be there, but I’ll have a glass of wine and say Kol HaKavod from Chicago!
