The Late Show tells us that “”The Late Show” celebrates Hanukkah with eight nights of videos honoring the festival of lights. Celebrate night one with Stephen and check back every night to see who turns up next.” So this clip is from the first night and it’s sort of funny. I remember when I was a little kid we’d laugh and laugh if someone said “bagel” or “shmuck” on TV. Now media is so saturated with Jewish themes and references that a Catholic host of a major late night talk show rolling dreidel dice is just “Meh.” But it’s just the first night. We’ll see what else Colbert has up his sleeve.
