True dat, the rabbi tonight said the same thing, and then I was all pissed cause my posting played me the fool. Good thing to start the year off more humble than before though, no?
I have to go to a pre-fast dinner at 4 pm PCT but wanted to quickly respond. One of my teachers once said that Yom Kippur should be considered the happiest day of the year because it offers a fresh start.

my friend emailed me last week to say, “happy rosha kipper!” i guess it’s the thought that counts! 🙂
It could be worse: A friend who grew up in Texas had a neighbor who wished him a “Happy Holocaust” by accident instead of Happy Hanukah.
