Fat Ho Muff?

Fun Jen DanceAnd they say Jerusalem’s not fun? Look! Funny signs like the famous Abu Allis and Fat ho restaurant in the old city just past Jaffa Gate. The lively restaurant is not kosher but who needs a hechsher to laugh? Deeper into the narrow streets, past The Church of The Holy Sepulchre you’ll see the scary Al Mufty Rd., decidedly not named after our road trippin’ friend, the grand muffti of Jewlicious. Uh… ok I don’t know how much fun that is, but uh… let’s move right along. The animated graphic to the right is of Jen, sister of Rebecca, and student of modern dance at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts doing an impromptu interprative dance. See, the walls in front of Jaffa Gate are lit up by spotlights on the ground and if you stand in front, well, you can see what happens … It’s a veritable laff-riot. Uh, yeah. Take that Tel Aviv …

  • great photos. I just blew my IPA out my nose when I saw “Abu Allis and Fat ho Restaurant”. Also, that interpretive dance is keen. I’d like to see more than a 2 frame gif of it though. Any chance of an encore?
