March is shaping up to be the month of song and community in LA County this year. Producer and musician Craig Taubman and friends return with “Let My People Sing“, a four day music feast in LA. With a broad focus and many headliners, Let My People Sing is an impressive and dynamic program. LMPS is described as “a groundbreaking festival celebrating freedom, Jewish life, art and culture in Los Angeles, from March 7-11, 2007.” Jewlicious Festival and LMPS have worked together to bring out some amazing artists that will headline at both Festivals.

Let My People Sing has teamed up with JewishWorld Watch, a dynamic and grassroots group in LA to help deliver aid and cooking equipment to Darfur Refugees.

From a Freedom from Addiction seder at Beit T’shuva, to concerts with Golem, missFlag, Pharoahs Daughter, Debbie Friedman, Theodore Bikel, the Afro-Semitic Experience, and a 200 person choir, the festival of song will reach all kinds of audiences and musical tastes.

  • It occurs to me that LA includes a very large Persian Jewish community. Not that booking acts is easy, I know, but it would be great all ’round if you could scare up some musical acts hailing from that sector.
