Well, actually, this isn’t much of guide. Certainly nothing like our Unofficial guides to sex and drugs on Birthright Israel. What I will impart upon you is the fact that the next season’s Birthright Israel registration begins today and tomorrow! So if you are Jewish, between the ages of 18 and 26, and you want to go to Israel for free this summer, better head on over to the Birthright Israel Web site and, you know, register! All you really have to do beyond that is figure out which trip provider you want to go with. There are three that we have worked closely with, Yael Adventures, Amazing Israel and Israel Experts. All three work with your typical, unaffiliated American college student and young professional, and all are well regarded. Just pick one! And go to Israel! And stay a while! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

But wait! What if you have already gone on Birthright? If you don’t want to feel left out of the excitement might I suggest perhaps attending the Jewlicious Festival taking place in Long Beach on February 26-28? It’s happening aboard the Queen Mary – this big boat – and it includes food and music and speakers etc. it’s as fun and/or as deep as you want it to be. Visit Jewlicious8.com for more info.
