An entree I never heard of was posted by ALEXIS STEINMAN. It is for a Passover dish from Tunisia, Yabrak, Stuffed Romaine Leaves with Herby Meatballs from Monique and Josef, the Moroccan-born couple that own Patisserie Avyel. They serve it with a turmeric-coated lamb shoulder above a bed of onions. Alexis’ friemd Judith, whose family hails from Algeria’s Tlemcen region, will blend almonds and raisins into mlosia, a thick jam for Passover in Marseilles. I really like the layout of the story and recommend it.

SHELBY HETLER shares ten VEGAN recipes at one green planet, including a smoothie; Butternut Squash Hash Browns; Stuffed Dates; Artichoke Pesto Zucchini Noodles; and more.

For BON APPETIT, jake Cohen (mentioned above) shares a recipe for cookies – Iraqi Jewish style almond cookies for Passover HERE.

The THE AUSTRALIAN, reprints Gabriella Gershonson’s piece on JEW-ISH and other topics from The Wall Street Journal. Blocked by the WSJ? You can read it HERE.
