Jerusalem is just so… random. Past Presidents, future Presidents, bloggers, accountants, hell yeah Jerusalem is the center of the world! It’s kind of remarkable, given that this is nothing more than a provincial, backwater of a city whose current claim to fame is as the disputed capital of a “shitty little country.” I guess I am still kind of wandering around a bit starstruck, trying to take it all in… again. It’s been an action packed week and much of that action has revolved around bloggage.
The first social rendez-vous I undertook in Jerusalem involved the traditional pilgrimage with Harry (He Knows Thingsâ„¢) for hummus. The second social engagement also involved Harry and humus. Daphna was supposed to join but she had a financial statement to finish for a client, and of course there were all the preparations for the big move to… Tel Aviv. Man, I feel so betrayed! I also randomly ran into Lisa from On The Face and John from Shalom Israel (pictured above). They are SO nice. Lisa and I are planning a day trip to Ramallah and John’s coming over for shabbat dinner or something. Yay! Odd thing was that I totally read John’s blog and yet… it’s not on the blog roll. So I added him – his story is whacked. I also added the new Shabot6000 blog because that dude is just too funny. Well, enjoy!

So sorry CK–trust me, I would have much rather been hanging with you and Harry, tossing back the hummos, than breaking my brain on the statements. In Hebrew, no less.
On the bright side, after a couple hours of work by myself and a few laughably loyal friends, my kitchen is now largely packed and ready for some Tel Aviv action, presuming that I do someday find an apartment.
So the cookies will be there…..
bring me a few virgins from ramallah (girls, im not arafat)
John, we’re also having Salmon Ceviche. Yum Yum!
Jewlicious and proud! Wow – my story is whacked. Looking forward to salad and fun!
Tiff… What’s Shmuel going to do… Pray with the Cows?
shmuel, just don’t eat meat…problem solved!
I watched South Park, too.
Wish I was in Jerusalem. That would be tight. At least there I could afford kosher meat, and never worry about finding a minyan.
Harry, take comfort in the fact that you have a trademarked catchphrase.
Harry, if you stand next to Lisa your odds will improve.
Fuck you CK. Two freaking dates and I don’t even get a photo?
Your attempts to make us jealous are, um, succeeding.
Reasons why you in Jerusalem should be jealous of me tonight? Number 1: a new episode of Lost that rocked my world. And Number 2: a new episode of South Park which proved that Trey and Matt are the most astute philosophers/satirists of our time.
So all of my reasons are TV-oriented. I’m okay with that. It’s galus.
I’m Jewlicious! And nice!
Lisa is Jewlicious!
Oh heck, so is John.
Ramallah?? Try not to get shot.
