Out of control awesomeness. What else is there to say? Participants enjoyed all the usual camp-like activity, from bonfire sing alongs to an outdoor screening of the Rocky Horror Picture Show; from horseback riding and rock climbing to Israeli dancing, tie dying, candle making, ultimate, basketball… and more. We have participants from New York, LA, San Diego, Las Vegas, you name it. We have roasted marshmallows, smores, quiche and lemon scented cranberry risotto. The setting, the Brandeis Bardin Institute, remains breathtakingly… well, breathtaking. Above and beyond all that, I’ve had some awesome conversations with participants wherein we plot the take over of the organized Jewish community, contemplate the nature, scope and implementation of grass roots organizational methodology and try to decide what brand of energy drink to consume next.
This is all SO trippy. Really. I mean there are all kinds of Jews here, in true Jewlicious style. While outsiders accuse us of being alternatively a kiruv organization and/or a group of sex-crazed degenerates, the participants here simply don’t give a shit. The fall of JDub and the implications for the future or innovative programing? Don’t give a shit. The role of the JFNA in the future of the organized Jewish community? Don’t give a shit. The last 30 articles in eJewish Philanthropy? No offense Dan, they just don’t give a shit.
Why? Maybe they’re too busy having fun? Maybe the sorts of problems that the Jewish community is all obsessed about are issues that don’t seem to exist here? Jewish unity? Check. Vibrant connections to Judaism? Check. Multiple avenues to engagement? Just another day in the world of Jewlicious.
Whatever. I hope you have an awesome and meaningful sabbath. I know we will.

No offense taken; but if you told they cared about Tribefest, and not eJP, well, that would be another story.
