As Valentine’s Day approaches, some Jewish journalist’s thoughts turned towards JDate. At least three Jewish magazines have JDate cover stories this month. In New Voices’s Sex After College, two recent grads take on the dating site, and come to some surprising conclusions.
One point I agree with: not squandering your college years on wasteful relationships, but rather looking for really quality people and soul mate potential. Or at least that is my interpretation of their report.
They concluded:
College kids, make your moves. Like the Romans say, Carpe Di-Emily, Sarah, and Rachel while they’re still around. Or become friends with them. That’s allowed. Later on, college pals will be your best facilitators. The best dating network we’ve found is meeting a friend of a friend at a novelty cocktail party.
In the sames issue, read about this predatory group called “JAM.” http://newvoices.org/campus-news/orthodox-campus-group-draws-concern.html
So that’s why I’m here…
Ridiculious! Squander those college years. And then if you miss it, or can’t find a ‘meaningful relationship’, go to grad school!
