Seriously, when you have leftovers, other than making French toast with thick challah (egg-bread) slices, is there a greater gift to mankind than toasted challah with (organic) butter that you spread on right after the challah comes out of the toaster? You need to let the melting process do the spreading, but only give it a moment to melt, not enough that the challah gets soggy. The thickness of the slices is also important. You want thick but not too thick.
