Katy Perry’s video for her new single “Birthday” begins with an intro titled “World’s Worst Birthday Party Entertainers.” One of the entertainers is Bar Mitzvah DJ: “Yosef Shulem,” a curly haired, yarmulke-wearing fast-talker who reminds me a lot of a guy I used to live with. The video also features Perry as a terrible clown, a hillbilly animal trainer, a Twitter-loving princess and a way past her prime stripper. Apparently, Perry showed up to all these parties in costume without the guests’ knowledge. She did a terrible job to comedic effect, eventually revealing herself. Fun! Sorry I missed that Bar Mitzvah. Make sure to watch the video to the very end… Offensive? Well… I’m not calling the ADL. Funny? Definitely!
