Float like a butterfly, sting like a Maccabi?

While WBA Super Welterweight champion of the world Yuri Foreman was whooping it up on the Jimmy Kimmel show, another Israeli boxer, Hagar Finer was defending her WIBF bantamweight crown against Latvian challenger Agnese Boza. Five rounds later that’s all she wrote as Finer retained her championship belt thanks to a knockout. You can read more about the fight in Haaretz and Israel’s other “fine” boxing champ.

As for Foreman, he’s preparing to defend his title on June 5, 2010 at the new Yankee Stadium against Miguel Cotto. Foreman is considered the underdog in that fight, but either way, as you can see from this clip from the Jimmy Kimmel Show, Foreman is a class act and an atypical bruiser.

  • The loser faced professional oblivion, and they both fought that way. Check out @ :30, when Foreman tags Lyle with 7 unanswered left hooks.

    • He wouldn’t have fought that hard if he had known there would be grills to sell in the future. That’s one way of avoiding professional oblivion.

      • That was a hell of a fight. They don’t make boxers like that anymore. And it was odd to see George Foreman with actual hair! Yuri Foreman however, has plenty of it. Hair yes, but no grill.
