When a Jewish Comedian gets interviewed by a Jewish blogger located in Israel, sitting in Hadassah Hospital while waiting for his wife to give birth, an hour before shabbat – that’s going to be a pretty Jewy interview. Of course we managed to mention Elon Gold’s upcoming one-man show at Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival. This upcoming show represents Gold’s 11th appearance at Just for Laughs but only his second time doing a one-man show. Last year all the shows were sold out, so it is suggested you get your tickets now in order to avoid disappointment. Seriously.
We also discussed Mohels, bagels, the Montreal vs New York bagel debate, Israel, Middle East politics, Jewish world domination, minchah, the Jewish nature of comedy, Ant Sarah Silverman, Amy Schumer, Jerry Seinfeld and more! The interview was done over a phone in a hallway in Hadassah Hospital while my wife was waiting to give birth. She did in fact give birth to an adorable boy – Moshe Erez – and Mother and baby are doing great. Elon will be performing in Montreal July 26, 27, 28 and 29th. As Elon mentioned, you don’t have to be Jewish to enjoy the show, but it helps!
