Rob Tannenbaum of the band Good For The Jews came to Israel for the first time, accompanied by his lovely girlfriend Gabrielle. We took an informal tour of the old city including a visit to Har ha Bayit (the Temple Mount, where I rocked my stupid Mohawk) and capped off our fun day with an impromptu performance of “They tried to kill us, we survived, let’s eat” in front of Jaffa Gate in the shadow of the Tower of David. Thanks to the amazing Talya Lev who backed up Rob with guitar and shaved my head. Israeli reaction? We were sitting next to deaf people so no. Not so much. Enjoy!

This was huge fun to do, ck — thanks for setting it up. And double thanks to Talya, who learned the song by ear with less than no help from me.
Talya: “What’s this chord here?”
Me: “No idea, man. Oh look, a hot chick in uniform.”
Dan, a Good For The Jews tour of Israel has been discussed. Where would you like to see us play?
They need me for a Minyan, so of course they’ll let me in the door!
Aliyah? You’re lucky they let you in the door. Please let it grow back. Or I’m gonna tell your mom.
I dunno TM. The ladies seem to like it for some reason… the old guys at shul however think I fell on my head. “Ma zeh Abutbul? Nafalta al ha rosh? Mutar latet lo aliyah??”
I just looked at the mohawk.
Dude, were you drunk? Cuz that was a bad idea.
Very good!
These guys are great! Are they performing in J’town?
