Remember when the 17 year old Jerusalem born Canadian sued the Canadian government for removing the word Israel from his passport so that it reads Birthplace: Jerusalem, instead of Birthplace: Jerusalem, Israel?
Well, those wacky Canucks are at it again. They have decided that it’s vital to recall all Canadian passports that list Jerusalem, Israel (or Jerusalem, Palestine) immediately.
The Canadian government has said Jerusalem’s status is an issue of contention, telling the court in the Veffer lawsuit that “Canada considers that the status of Jerusalem can be resolved only as part of a general settlement of the Arab-Israeli conflict.”

I was told that if someone was born in Jerusalem but had an American passport as an American citizen that it would say the same thing. Am I wrong?
I don’t understand? A recall? How can that be? How can Jerusalem Prize winner, Attorney General and Minister of Justice Irwin Cotler remain in this government? I think he ought to resign in protest. Well, if he had any balls, or if his convictions ever had any meaning…
