The prize for overblown, overlong, overthought, uninformative and generally drab newspaper article of the year goes to this piece about a very serious food.
By the way, the real failure of the article is to mention the little fried fritters that the falafel establishments used to put atop the stuffed pita. Yum!
Another failing of the intrepid reporter and editor who dreamt up this exhilirating topic is the misspelling “felafel.” It’s not felafel, folks, it’s falafel!
As in, “Yallah nu, kvar tavih li falafel, im kharif vechipsim.”
